Béchamp, Victor Vic. In loving memory of Victor “Vic” Béchamp 85 years on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at his home in Capreol. Beloved husband for 64 years of Denise Béchamp (née Gervais). Loving father of Jean-Pierre “J.P.” (Myrna), Larry (Carole), Michael (Annette) and Norman (Cindy). Cherished grandfather of Kevin (Shannon), Brian, Jean-Philippe, Sadie (Brendon), Ashley, Selina, Shannon (and family) and Sean (and family); and great grandfather of Peyton and Carter. Dear brother of Hector (late Marie-Jeanne), Donald (late Yollande), Evance (Noreen), Grace Béchamp; predeceased by Eleanor (late Bill), Paul (late Pierrette), Marie, Cécilia (Claude Brunet) and Gertrude (Mario Ottoni). Predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Cécile Béchamp. Victor was a dedicated railway worker from 1944 at the age of 14 and retired a crane operator 43 years later in 1987. Professionally, he gladly trained all those willing to learn his craft during his long career on the CNR and beyond. He was meticulous and always conscientious when it came to the safety of his coworkers. Personally, his dedication remained unwavering from providing for his family to imparting his widely varied knowledge and experience without reservation. No matter where Victor went, his natural element was when work needed to be done; he built his own home (and others) and readily worked on and often fixed anything from electrical to plumbing, structural to mechanical. Some of his retirement years were spent in Gogama, on a pontoon boat fishing with the family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Dr., at Hwy 69 N, Hanmer Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only Funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol Monday, October 19th, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Capreol Cemetery Tuesday, October 20th, 2015, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved father of Perry (Debbie), Connie (Redge) and Robbie (Jane). Beloved Papa of April, Jessica (Shariffe), Nick, Chris (Jessica), Vicki (Tyler), Jordan, Kelsey, Cassandra and Brittany. Beloved great grandfather to Lilianna, Edwin, Bobbie and Gabriella. Beloved brother to sister Dellie (Armand Sbrega predeceased), beloved brothers Frank predeceased (Rose predeceased), Mario (predeceased) (Elaine) and Val predeceased (Violet). Special brother in law to Philip DelPapa (wife Linda) and special son in law to Jenny DelPapa. "Uncle Bob" will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews: Frankie, Marilynn, Ann Marie, Rosanne, Joanne, Gina, Larry, Tommy and their families. Bob lived a full life with no regrets, if he wanted to do something, he did it, whether it was a last minute trip to watch the Leafs or go to the Jays World Series, a pit stop at Lebarons Steak House, Bob was there. Bob was a very kind and generous person, having sponsored the Capreol Midget Hawks and the Capreol Mazzuca's Fast Ball Team. Right up until the end, Bob's sense of humor was present. Thank you to the Health Sciences North Staff on the 4th floor, Marian from Bayshore, Dr. Kohmani, Meagan, Dr. Bowmen, Homestay and CCCA. A very special thank you to his canine buddy Chezzi. Bob's specific wishes were that there would be no mass, no funeral and no fuss over him, "from the bed to the fire". Bob is now in a better place, with his brothers, his best friend Jimmy Farelli, brother in law Armand on the piano, Ezio on the guitar and the celebration has started. We will miss his sense of humor, we will miss his smile and he will be forever remembered. Donations to the Northeastern Ontario Cancer Centre, HSN 4th Floor or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
