CLOSE, Darwin "Joe" - In Loving Memory of Darwin "Joe" Close, 84 years, who passed away at home on Monday, April 25th, 2016. Beloved husband of 30 years of June Chenier-Close. Predeceased by his treasured first wife, Donna Close (née Holm). Joe is also survived by his son Mitch (wife Joyce), daughter Joanne (husband Michel Jonquet), his step-daughters Carole Chenier, Laurie Chenier Hughes, and Debra Ouellette, his step-sons Daniel and Mitchell Chenier and their spouses. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Matthew, Cheryl, and Stefan, and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Capreol, Joe retired as a conductor for CN in 1987. An avid curler and golfer Joe cherished every moment with family and friends. The strength, courage, and determination he displayed when dealing with his most recent illness are only a few of the many qualities we can hope to aspire to. As a man of faith, we are comforted in knowing he has found peace. Memorial service in the Trinity United Church, Capreol Friday, April 29th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. (Friends may gather at the church from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Friday) followed by a reception and luncheon at the church. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. McDONALD, Beatrice Mary (née Watkins) - In Loving Memory of Beatrice Mary McDonald (née Watkins). Born in North Bay, April 5th, 1926. Passed away peacefully, Monday, April 25th, 2016 at the Maison Vale Hospice at the age of 90 years with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Francis (Frank) McDonald predeceased 2002. Loving daughter of Ernest and Mary Watkins both predeceased. Beloved sister of Sheila Marshall predeceased 2009 and Clifford Watkins predeceased 2007. Dear sister-in-law of Ruth Watkins and Norman McDonald. Cherished aunt of Joan Shrigley (husband Les), Tammy Rideout (husband John), Terri McQuaig (husband David), Tom Watkins (wife Ashley) and Tim Watkins (wife Kim).

Beloved great-aunt of Mark Shrigley, Erin Monahan (husband Sean), Andrew Rideout (wife Brittany), Patrick Rideout, Adam and
Heather McQuaig, Owen, Caleigh and Tye Watkins. Devoted great-great-aunt to
Austin, Connor and Jacob Monahan, and expected baby boy Rideout. Special
cousin to George Clayton (wife Sandy). Originally from North Bay, Bea moved
to Capreol with Frank to work at the CNR, retiring in 1986 from the
equipment department. Bea was an avid sports fan with a keen interest in
curling. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women's League of Our
Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Capreol. She was most happy at family
gatherings where her smile would light up the room. Our Aunt Bea was a very
special lady who always presented herself with grace and dignity. Her
strength and courage shown in dealing with her recent illness exemplifies
her extraordinary character and are qualities we can only hope to aspire to.
Her love and devotion shown to all of her nieces and nephews will be
everlasting gifts we will treasure forever. As a devout woman of faith, we
are comforted in knowing that she in now with her Almighty Saviour and in
the arms of our Uncle Frank. She will truly enjoy the reunion with Sheila
and Cliff. Today, tomorrow, and our whole life through, we will always love
and cherish her. We would also like to thank the incredible people at
Community Care Access especially Dr. Linda Tenhunen, Claire Warren and
Nathalie Bureau. Their compassion and guidance we received during this
difficult journey will always be remembered. We are eternally grateful to
all of our friends at Meadowbrook Retirement Village, especially Julie
Nelson and all the PSWs, who always went above and beyond to make sure our
Aunt Bea was safe and comfortable. The people at the Maison Vale Hospice are
our angels of service to others, providing great compassion, respect and
dignity. You truly are making a difference and we thank you. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated. Resting
at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME Hanmer/Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Drive,
Hanmer (Friends may call 4 - 8 P.M. Wednesday) Funeral Mass in Our Lady of
Peace Church, Capreol on Thursday, April 28th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Cremation
with interment in the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Bay. To
